The Canon EOS Rebel T1i is the 6th generation of Canon’s popular entry-level DSLR camera series and it improves upon earlier Rebels by incorporating many features that up till now could only be found on Canon’s pricier mid-level DSLRs. DIGIC 4 Image Processor
To better enable successful imaging under the most challenging of lighting conditions, the camera’s DIGIC 4 Image Processor allows you to set the ISO rating from ISO 100 through 3200 in standard mode and from 6400 to 12,800 in expanded mode. Dual DIGIC III image processors
The EOS-1Ds Mark III has two identical DIGIC III imaging engines for parallel signal processing. The CMOS sensor read out to the dual “DIGIC III” processors simultaneously in eight channels. DIGIC III is the next generation of Canon’s proprietary image processing engine. This technology ensures the fine details and natural colors of images are optimally recorded and are responsible for the EOS-1Ds Mark III SLR’s high-speed performance, faster signal processing, and more efficient energy consumption. Integrated cleaning system
The EOS-1Ds Mark III features a complete dust management solution called the integrated cleaning system. The new CMOS image sensor has an infrared absorption glass cover that vibrates for 3.5 seconds when the camera is turned on or off. Dust that has been shaken or blown loose is trapped by adhesive surfaces surround the sensors unit housing, which assures that the dust doesn’t get into the filter itself when the camera moves. This camera also has a durability rating of 300,000 cycles, which allows it to generate less dust but also charge itself three times during the manual cleaning process. There is also a software solution that traces the location of any spots that may remain on the sensor. This software creates mapping information that is saved as a dust delete data and attached to the image file. Unbeatable resolution
The EOS-1D’s Mark III has an all new full-size 36 x 24-millimeter CMOS image sensor which offers the best and highest resolution available in its class. It is topped off with 21.1 million effective pixels which set at a pitch of 6.4 microns. As a user, you can select any of six recording formats ranging from 21.0 megapixels in large JPEG or RAW format, 16.6 or 11.0 megapixels in the two medium JPEG sizes, or 5.2 megapixels in the small JPEG or “Sraw” formats.
